一次死裡逃生的經歷。
Okay lah, I'm exaggerating. I didn't escape death, but I did nearly get electrocuted.I plugged my laptop charger into the extension socket, and there were sparks inside! Whoa that freaked me out. Especially since I learned about household electricity in chapter 19 of Physics. Mr L was saying how there could be electric fires or electrocuted or other tragic consequences.
The spark caused both sockets on the extension to off, when the switch showed it was on. That just made it worse man. I really didn't dare to touch it. I thought of getting a pair of thick rubber gloves, since rubber is an insulator and charges won't pass through my hand.
But sadly our house doesn't have them. Luckily, I thought of a simpler, and should-have-been-done solution. To off the mains switch. I was really (-.-) at that time, since I didn't even think of that. The first thing should really have been to off the mains, so that at least there's no current, yeah.
After I switched the mains off I wasn't so afraid. I off-ed and on-ed it again and thankfully it was alright. Just that I don't dare to unplug when switched on anymore. It was just during Physics exam that one question was about this. Wow.
